Seeking donations for competition in Orlando<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lehigh Acres Raiders Pop Warner Jr, Pee Wee team, which recently competed at regionals, has advanced to the National competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition will take place in Orlando next week on Dec. 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are in need of sponsors to help cover the cost,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0said Wideline Aitlar, Raiders spokesperson and head coach for the Jr Pee Wee team.\u00a0\u201cAs you know, Southwest Florida was devastated by Hurricane Ian and our families were greatly affected. Our team was without a practice field for weeks. Despite so many setbacks, the girls managed to make history with this opportunity. They worked so hard for this and truly deserve it. We are asking for the community\u2019s help and support to give these girls the opportunity that they\u2019ve worked so hard to earn.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team is trying to raise $13,000, in total, to cover the cost of competition fees, transportation, lodging, and food for 26 athletes for a total of three days. The cost is approximately $500 per athlete.<\/p>\n\n\n
