According to the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center, the list of the Neo-Confederate groups is\u00a0Abbeville Institute<\/a>,\u00a0Council of Conservative Citizens<\/a>,\u00a0Flaggers (Confederate flag erectors)<\/a>,\u00a0Ku Klux Klan<\/a>\u00a0(1st and 3rd incarnations),\u00a0League of the South<\/a>,\u00a0Sons of Confederate Veterans<\/a>,\u00a0Southern Party<\/a>\u00a0(defunct) and\u00a0United Daughters of the Confederacy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Neo-Confederacy also incorporates advocacy of traditional gender roles, is hostile toward democracy, strongly opposes homosexuality, and exhibits an understanding of race that favors segregation and suggests white supremacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Neo-Confederate group Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) has members who are serving military officers, elected officials, public employees, and a particular national security expert with \u201cDepartment of Defense Secret Security Clearance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
