Ron DeSantis also said flooding from Hurricane Ian was likely across much of west Florida. He also raised the possibility that after landfall, a weakening Ian would continue to march across Central Florida before exiting somewhere along the state\u2019s Atlantic Coast.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBy and large, we\u2019re looking at really, really major storm surge up and down the west coast of Florida,\u201d DeSantis said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.news-press.com\/story\/weather\/2022\/09\/26\/hurricane-ian-florida-category-tracker-path-impacts-weather-tiger\/8118021001\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ian was forecast to become a major hurricane, Category 3<\/a>&nbsp;or greater forecasters said.
