The principal told WINK News that students and staff worked hard to make this food distribution possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before Justin Cid started high school he went to Harns Marsh Middle and returned on Friday with his mom to help out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis year, give us a really great opportunity to give more food to our family better,\u201d said Cid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Partnering with the Harry Chapin Food Bank, the school transformed a room into a food distribution center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnd it\u2019s so important to do right now it\u2019s so important for so many working families with kids to have access to enough food so that their kids can sit still and learn and develop the way they need to. And it\u2019s just so many hungry kids,\u201d said Harry Chapin Food Bank president and CEO Richard Leber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Harns Marsh Middle will have the fifteenth pantry inside a Lee County school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cid and his brothers live with their mom and dad and see how hard it is for families to make ends meet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe just moved out here last year,\u201d said Cid. \u201cSo it\u2019s gonna be pretty difficult to come up with the money for food with a new house.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal is to serve between 150 and 175 families each week.
