It got out.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/espnu.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54785\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Administrators had been working on something special for more than a year, so it was no surprise that rumors of a once-in-a-lifetime showcase got back to the team before Chaney could reveal all.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday night, for the first time since Noel Devine\u2019s heyday at North Fort Myers in 2006, a Lee County football program will host a nationally televised game on an ESPN network when the Lightning faces\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/espnpressroom.com\/us\/espnu-livesame-day-tape-event-schedule\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lake Gibson at 8 p.m. on ESPNU<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s the craziest thing I\u2019ve ever heard,\u201d Lehigh senior lineman Jaheim Buchanon said. \u201cWhen I first heard it, I was amazed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Putting together something of this scale is not simple on an administrative end, and the team itself is under pressure to deliver after an unsettling 0-2 start to the season.
