Central Tropical Atlantic:\nA broad area of low pressure over the central tropical Atlantic \nis producing a large area of disorganized cloudiness and showers.\nAlthough environmental conditions are only marginally conducive, \nsome gradual development of this system is expected over the next \nseveral days and a tropical depression is likely to form later this \nweek.  The disturbance is forecast to move slowly toward the west \nand then west-northwest at 5 to 10 mph, toward the adjacent waters \nof the northern Leeward Islands.  Additional information on this \nsystem can be found in high seas forecasts issued by the National \nWeather Service. \n* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...50 percent.\n* Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent.\n\n2. Central Subtropical Atlantic:\nA small low pressure system located about 600 miles east of Bermuda\ncontinues to produce limited shower activity.  Strong upper-level \nwinds and dry air are expected to limit significant development of \nthis system while it drifts southward and southwestward over the \ncentral Atlantic during the next couple of days, and likely \ndissipate by the end of the week.\n* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.\n* Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent.\n\n3. Eastern Tropical Atlantic:\nA tropical wave is forecast to move off the west coast of Africa \nthis evening or early Tuesday.  Some gradual development of this\nsystem is possible after that time while it moves generally \nwestward to west-northwestward across the far eastern tropical \nAtlantic. \n* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.\n* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.\n\n4. Northwestern Caribbean Sea:\nA trough of low pressure could develop over the northwestern \nCaribbean Sea later this week.
