Battle, a convicted felon and on probation, was in the home when deputies arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While searching the residence, deputies discovered a loaded Glock handgun hidden under a bed. DNA evidence from the firearm was later linked to Battle following analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a convicted felon, Battle was prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition under federal law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of his sentencing, Battle was ordered to forfeit the firearm and ammunition used in the offense.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Lehigh Acres man will spend nearly five years in prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
