On November 26, 2019, deputies with the Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office, went to a residential address in Fort Myers, in search of a wanted suspect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon arrival, the defendant was parked in the driveway and exited the vehicle. After briefly speaking with deputies, he got back in his car. At that time, he consented to a search of his vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the rear backseat, behind the driver\u2019s seat, was a backpack that contained hundreds of clear baggies, a scale, and bags of hypodermic needles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lewis then consented to a pat-down search. Deputies found a bag in his pants that contained several clear cellophane baggies containing multiple substances that were suspected illicit narcotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Field tests showed positive results for Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, heroin, and marijuana. There were also Morphine Sulfate pills in the bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A field test of the hypodermic needles tested positive for Methamphetamine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lewis was then arrested. Lee County Circuit Court Chief, Assistant State Attorney Tyler Lovejoy, prosecuted the case.
