Thankfully, no one was injured. Frying dominates cooking fire incidents. If you see wisps of smoke or the oil smells, immediately turn off the burner and\/or carefully remove the pan from the burner. Smoke is a dangerous sign that the oil is too hot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"?\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t50\/1\/16\/1f525.png\">Heat the oil slowly to the temperature you need for frying or saut\u00e9ing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"?\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t50\/1\/16\/1f525.png\">Add food gently to the pot or pan so the oil does not splatter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"?\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t50\/1\/16\/1f525.png\">Always cook with a lid or cover beside your pan. If you have a fire, slide the lid over the pan and turn off the burner. Do not remove the cover because the fire could start again. Let the pan cool for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"?\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t50\/1\/16\/1f525.png\">Never throw water on the fire!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"?\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t50\/1\/16\/1f525.png\">If the fire does not go out or you don\u2019t feel comfortable sliding a lid over the pan, get everyone out of your home.
