Although we are now in the cone the impacts remain the same as being a rain-maker.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"486\" height=\"261\" src=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/flood-watch1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-53496\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/flood-watch1.png 486w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/flood-watch1-300x161.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 486px) 100vw, 486px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Southwest Florida will begin to feel the impacts of the storm late Friday into Saturday. The main impact will be large amounts of rainfall which could localize flooding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued from the middle of Longboat Key south to include all of SWFL and the Keys.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"497\" height=\"265\" src=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/h-plots.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-53497\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/h-plots.png 497w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/h-plots-300x160.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 497px) 100vw, 497px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>A flood watch has been issued for Collier, Hendry, Glades, Mainland Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties until 8 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The model plots are in much better agreement and are confident the Potential Tropical System will be moving northeastward directly impacting our area Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regardless of track or strength, expect rainy and gusty weather beginning on Friday evening. Additionally, isolated and weak tornadoes will be possible within a few of these storms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will NOT become a major hurricane.
