The jury returned the guilty verdict Thursday evening, following a three-day trial in Lee County.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"279\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/PIERRE-OSCAR.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-53404\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/PIERRE-OSCAR.jpg 279w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/PIERRE-OSCAR-233x300.jpg 233w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 279px) 100vw, 279px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>On February 17, 2017, the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a report of a robbery with a firearm at 7-11 on Winkler Avenue. The defendant had entered the store and confronted a worker who asked Pierre to leave, as he had been trespassed on a prior occasion and was told not to return. The defendant started arguing with the store employee, pulled a gun out of his jacket, and pointed it at his face. There was a customer in the store and two other employees at the time. He then pointed the gun at the customer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The defendant demanded money from the register, took it, and fled. Fort Myers Police Officers located the defendant a short distance from the crime scene and took him into custody. Assistant State Attorney Leena Marcos prosecuted the case.
