The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) has issued a Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory as of\u00a0Friday (April 22nd) at 9:30 AM<\/strong>.\u00a0 A scheduled shutdown at 1297 Woodward Court required an expansion of the shutdown area due to a valve failure. \u00a0Customers residing on Woodward Court from Beth Stacy to Westminster Street N., including Broad Street N., Vineyard Street, Westley Street, Westminster Street W., Broad Street W., and Sunshine Way may have experienced low pressure or no water.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Services have been restored as of 10:30 AM.\u00a0 Samples will be collected and taken to a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory. Provided that the FGUA receives clearance for two rounds of water sampling results the FGUA will attempt to rescind the advisory by\u00a0Monday, April 25th<\/sup>, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FGUA provides a Boil Water Notice Advisory under Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) requirements in the event that water pressure drops below 20 pounds per square inch in the service area.  In the meantime, the FGUA advises that all water used for drinking or cooked be boiled. A rolling boil for a period of one minute is sufficient to ensure the water is free of possible bacteria or viruses. Alternatively, bottled water may be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
