In July 2020, the Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office Narcotics Unit was conducting an operation focusing on narcotic dealing locations in Fort Myers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A car was observed on Cleveland Avenue traveling at a speed of 65 mph, in a posted 45 mph zone. The vehicle was pulled over and the smell of marijuana was emitting from the car. The defendant, who did not have a valid driver\u2019s license, was the driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A detective utilized his K9 partner, to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle and the K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics.
