The amazing volunteers collected over 15,000 pounds of trash and debris! With Lee County being a coastal community eventually the majority of loose trash will find its way into a lake, river, canal, or estuary, and eventually end up in the Gulf. Preventing this from occurring is crucial for the environment and our local waterways.

The Great American Cleanup is open to volunteers of all ages and any individual, family, school, group, place of worship, business, or government entity can coordinate or participate. CLICK HERE to register for the details or call 239-334-3488 for additional information.

About Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc.

Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc., established in 1989, is the county’s largest volunteer-based community action and education organization.
