The area is positioned East of Joel BLVD and South of SR 80. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Motorists and residents should exercise caution in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The prescribed burn serves to reduce the understory surface fuels for wildfire safety.&nbsp;South Florida slash pine serves as the canopy in this area with pockets of saw palmetto and various grasses as the understory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"276\" height=\"183\" src=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/images-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-51479\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Florida Forest Service, a division of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, manages more than 1 million acres of state forests and provides forest management assistance on more than 17 million acres of private and community forests.
