According to an announcement on DBi website; \u201cDBi Services today confirmed that due to continued operating and financial challenges, and sudden and unexpected setbacks, particularly the decision of its primary lender to discontinue all funding, the Company determined that a wind down of substantially all of its business is necessary at this time.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DBi Services provided asset maintenance services for FDOT Districts 5 and 1 in Volusia, Seminole, Orange, Osceola and Polk Counties along the I-4 Corridor since 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project consists of 740 lane miles of limited access interstate and 120 raised structures. Included in the I-4 contract are operations and maintenance of two of the oldest rest areas in the state, as well as oversight of four Florida Department of Corrections (DoC) maintenance crews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DBi Services also provided maintenance of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge for FDOT District 7. With a 1200-foot span and total length of 21,877 feet, the 4.14 mile-long Sunshine Skyway was the world\u2019s longest concrete cable-stayed bridge at the time it was built. It is one of Florida\u2019s most prominent structures and spans the Tampa Bay, connecting St. Petersburg and Terra Ceia. DBi Services crews also perform maintenance and inspection of the Sunshine Skyway, along with maintenance activities associated with the overhead sign structures, fishing piers and ancillary bridges. Prompt incident and emergency response will also be a key focus on this highly-visible and heavily-travelled structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DBi Services also provided comprehensive management, operations and asset maintenance to FDOT for all roadway, roadside, structures, rest areas, recreational areas and weigh stations on Interstate 75 from mid Broward County to the Hillsborough County line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DBi Services had 100\u2019s of projects worth 100\u2019s of millions of dollars all over the USA and they are gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Florida DOT is scrambling now, but the Road Rangers are up the running through a grant with State Farm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FDOT has been made aware that DBI has closed. The Department is working with other contractors to ensure essential services are provided. We are in the process of bidding out for a new contract to cover these services moving forward.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
