{"id":51157,"date":"2021-11-06T23:59:03","date_gmt":"2021-11-07T03:59:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/?p=51157"},"modified":"2021-11-06T23:59:08","modified_gmt":"2021-11-07T03:59:08","slug":"veterans-day-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/2021\/11\/veterans-day-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Veterans Day"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Lehigh Acres residents will have a pair of opportunities to mark Veterans Day here in the community on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"440\" src=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/veterans-day_0.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-51158\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/veterans-day_0.jpg 600w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/veterans-day_0-300x220.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>VFW Post 4174, in conjunction with American Legion Post 323, will hold their annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Veterans Park from 11 a.m. to noon on Nov. 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The public also is invited to join the two posts for hamburgers and hot dogs following the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Veterans Park is at 55 Homestead Road S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Veterans Day celebration also will be held at the Fountain Crest Retirement Community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event, which will include Donna Sue Delisle singing songs to honor veterans, refreshments, a 50\/50 raffle and door prizes, is set for 2 \u2013 3:15 p.m. at the community at 1230 Taylor Lane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to limited space, those wishing to attend should RSVP in advance at 239-303-4596.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lehigh Acres residents will have a pair of opportunities to mark Veterans Day here in the community on Thursday.
