Tentatively known as \u201cLee Health Colonial Campus,\u201d the property will sit on 52 acres of land along Challenger Blvd. between Colonial Blvd. and Winkler Ave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/download-2-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-51050\" width=\"274\" height=\"154\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/download-2-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/download-2-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/download-2-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/download-2.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 274px) 100vw, 274px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Board of Directors approved proceeding with issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for architectural services, construction management, and commissioning authorities as a first step in developing the hospital campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Board members anticipate the campus will include an acute care hospital with 216 beds, 16 operating rooms, an emergency department with 30 emergency room bays, and a 16-bed observation unit. An observation unit allows a patient to stay in the hospital while their care team determines whether they need to be admitted or discharged. The campus will also house a complement of ancillary and social services and will include a Medical Office Building.
