One of the agenda items discussed was Lehigh Acres\u2019 notable\u00a0\u201cNickel\u201d\u00a0sign and who will assume the right to maintain it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/1099032869.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50974\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/1099032869.jpg 640w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/1099032869-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe district is currently in negotiations with Lee County to take over the Welcome to Lehigh Acres cookie-shaped sign, to own and maintain. We currently have the signage powers and we have the ability to maintain it, so it seems to be the best solution. Lee County seems willing to move forward on it,\u201d&nbsp;District Manager David Lindsay said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During last month\u2019s meeting, LAMSID Commissioners voted to move their regular monthly meetings to the fourth Tuesday of each month. The new meeting day goes into effect in October 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lehigh Acres Municipal Services Improvement District holds monthly meetings inside its Barrett Room, 601 East County Lane Lehigh Acres.
