A Lehigh Acres man accused of stealing as a manager at a Family Dollar shortly before he quit and a fire destroyed the building was sentenced Wednesday for grand theft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Josue Vazquez-Reyes, 24, was sentenced to three years\u2019 probation,\u00a050 hours of community service, and must complete anti-theft school, according to court documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He must also pay court costs and $2,041 in restitution to Family Dollar Corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In March, Vazquez-Reyes was arrested on multiple charges and was the sole suspect in February arson of the Lehigh Acres Family Dollar at 3519 Lee Blvd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Office of the State Attorney 20th Judicial Circuit of Florida later filed a no prosecution on the arson, as well as charges of burglary and property damage\/criminal mischief, against Vazquez-Reyes, stating there was insufficient evidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grand theft charge stemmed from internal theft at the store, which was discovered after Vazquez-Reyes “abruptly” resigned, according to Lee County Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
