<\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\nOn Thursday, park officials invited select members of the media to step behind the construction walls for a hard-hat tour of the site, giving an early glimpse of the upcoming rides and attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The idea around the design of the park is it will likely be a young child\u2019s first theme park experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe did a lot of market research trying to figure out which characters speak best to the kids and how do we pair those with the proper storylines of the attractions that we\u2019ve created,\u201d design and construction director Keith Carr said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Daddy Pig\u2019s Roller Coaster, one of the rides on the park\u2019s lineup, is an example of that strategy. The concept is riders will be taking a cruise in Daddy Pig\u2019s red car when they run into Mr. Bull who is doing road construction, causing them to take a detour full of twists, turns and drops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ride will offer a coaster experience for little ones without being too intimidating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The coaster “is thrilling enough to get them out of their comfort zone, but not too much to where it\u2019s scary,\u201d Carr said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other rides include Peppa Pig\u2019s Balloon Ride, Grampy Rabbit\u2019s Dinosaur Adventure, Mr. Bull\u2019s High Striker and Peppa\u2019s Pedal Bike Tour and George\u2019s Tricycle Trail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The park will also feature interactive attractions and play spaces such as Fun Fair, where guests can play free games and meet Peppa and her friends. Over at Grandad Dog\u2019s Pirate Island, guests can build sandcastles and dig for buried treasure. This area will also have a themed boat ride called Grandad Dog\u2019s Pirate Boat Ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And, of course, the park will have an area to make muddy puddles, although real mud won\u2019t be involved. Instead, visitors will be able to play in fountains and slides at the Muddy Puddles Splash Pad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The park will also have shopping and dining options but details will be revealed at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite its proximity to Legoland, Peppa Pig Theme Park will be its own standalone park, with separate admission. However it will be within walking distance of Legoland Hotel and the entrance to Legoland Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although a date has not been announced yet, Peppa Pig Theme Park is slated to open next year. Annual passes and vacation packages are currently on sale for travel starting April 1.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
