Lopez said deputies drew their weapon at Carroll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the video, the men can be seen and heard using foul language and hurling profanities at deputies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou guys are a bunch of f*****g p*****s. You have four cops here and you can\u2019t f*****g do shit,\u201d\u2018&nbsp;Carroll said in the video.&nbsp;\u201cAs soon as Carmine sees this and your attorney Y\u2019all are f****d.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sheriff Carmine Marceno said his deputies could not have handled the situation any better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;\u201cI am proud of how they acted on scene. Our de-escalation training is proven now that we are able to take that kind of verbal abuse and still be very professional and do our job,\u201d Sheriff Marceno said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lopez and Carroll even followed deputies to an LCSO substation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the video, Lopez said, \u201cAt three in the morning we are going to audit this substation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lopez and Carroll peeked into patrol cars and rang on the door demanding to speak to a supervisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lopez said their goal is to keep law enforcement accountable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe want to close the gap between law enforcement and citizens. At the end of the day, our tax dollars pay them and they forget that\u201d Lopez said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sheriff Marceno said these men crossed a line and put the public\u2019s safety on the line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s harassing. It influences how we do our job and it\u2019s unacceptable, it really is,\u201d Sheriff Marceno said. \u201cYou got multiple units on scene and those units could be helping in a life or death situation somewhere else.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lopez and Carroll were not arrested.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lee County Sheriff Deputies were followed and filmed Monday night by two men in Lehigh Acres.
