{"id":48790,"date":"2021-05-17T14:24:50","date_gmt":"2021-05-17T18:24:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/?p=48790"},"modified":"2021-05-17T14:25:07","modified_gmt":"2021-05-17T18:25:07","slug":"theme-parks-no-longer-requiring-face-masks-outdoors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/2021\/05\/theme-parks-no-longer-requiring-face-masks-outdoors\/","title":{"rendered":"Theme parks no longer requiring face masks outdoors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox13news.com\/tag\/us\/fl\">Florida<\/a>&#8216;s major&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox13news.com\/tag\/theme-parks\/\">theme parks<\/a>&nbsp;are adjusting their face mask policies after the federal government&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox13news.com\/news\/cdc-to-ease-guidance-on-indoor-mask-wearing-for-fully-vaccinated-ap-source-says\">loosened its recommendations<\/a>&nbsp;as more people get&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox13news.com\/tag\/health\/coronavirus-vaccine\">vaccinated<\/a>&nbsp;for the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox13news.com\/tag\/health\/coronavirus\">coronavirus<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitors to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox13news.com\/news\/walt-disney-world-updates-mask-policy-effective-saturday\">Walt Disney World<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox13news.com\/news\/universal-orlando-updates-mask-policy-effective-saturday\">Universal Orlando Resort<\/a>\u00a0were allowed Saturday to remove their masks when they are outdoors except when they are on attractions, inline, or riding a tram or other transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"460\" height=\"277\" src=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Manta-SeaWorld-Orlando-001.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48791\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Manta-SeaWorld-Orlando-001.jpg 460w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Manta-SeaWorld-Orlando-001-300x181.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 460px) 100vw, 460px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Masks remain mandatory indoors except in restaurants when seated. Disney requires they be worn except when actively eating and drinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SeaWorld Orlando and its sister park, Tampa&#8217;s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox13news.com\/news\/busch-gardens-adventure-island-not-requiring-masks-for-fully-vaccinated-guests\">Busch Gardens<\/a>, are going even further, allowing guests who say they are fully vaccinated to remove their masks throughout the parks. The two parks will not require proof of vaccination, but are asking guests to &#8220;respectfully comply.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday said people could stop wearing masks outdoors in crowds and in most indoor settings.
