It\u2019s funny the Frontline Strategies reached out to Former LT Gov Jeff Kottkamp (letter<\/a>) on May 27, 2020, before they received the signed contract<\/a> with the Lehigh Acres Fire District engaged on June 15, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the letter to Kottkamp from Frontline Strategies it states:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We believe that it will be important to focus in on a strong messaging effort as early as possible with mail and digital to inform the voters of the financial impact and safety aspects of the referendum. Unlike the low turnout referendum in 2019, this will have a much higher turnout, mainly because of the crowded 19th Congressional Primary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With an organized messaging effort, we believe that we can turnout voters in favor of the referendum in the key precincts during the August 18th Primary Election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mail push will begin shortly before Vote by Mail ballots land in mailboxes. We will ensure that we hit each of the major messages and target high propensity Republicans, Democrats and NPA voters. We can also segment a smaller universe to target the community that would be most affected by the addition of a new fire station. In addition, the mail program will work in conjunction with the digital ads that will begin in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The budget for the mail will be $45,000 and $5,000 in consulting fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember Kottkamp is the former VR Labs CEO which owes Lee County over 5 million dollars which was fraudulently gotten through Kottkamp\u2019s “close, personal relationship” with certain Lee County staff members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kottkamp was called as witness in the federal prosecution of VR Labs principals Kay and Robert Gow and their longtime associate, John G. Williams Jr., who are accused of conspiracy and fraud in the use of $ 5 million in Lee County economic development funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under cross-examination by the Gows attorney, John Fitzgibbons of Tampa, Kottkamp detailed a series of $125,000 contributions from friends, totaling a half-million dollars. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kottkamp got the Gows and their science team a meeting at the University of Florida with an idea to create the next Gatorade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UF had made hundreds of millions of dollars in licensing fees on Gatorade, the sports drink invented at the school. The licensing arrangement had run out, and Robert Gow thought a potential product he called “Greater Gator” would be a good substitute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
