For storm information specific to your area\noutside of the United States, please monitor products issued by\nyour national meteorological service.\n\n\nDISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK\n----------------------\nAt 200 PM AST (1800 UTC), the disturbance was centered near latitude \n14.1 North, longitude 54.8 West. The system is moving toward the \nwest near 23 mph (37 km\/h), and this general motion with some \nreduction in forward speed is expected over the next few days.  On \nthe forecast track, the system is forecast to move through the \nLeeward Islands on Wednesday, near or over the Virgin Islands and \nPuerto Rico Wednesday night, and near or over Hispaniola on \nThursday.\n\nMaximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km\/h) with higher\ngusts. Some strengthening is expected during the next 48 hours, and\nthe system is forecast to become a tropical storm tonight or\nWednesday.\n\nEnvironmental conditions are expected to be conducive for\nadditional development and a tropical storm is forecast to form\ntonight or Wednesday. These conditions could begin reach portions of the north\ncoast of the Dominican Republic early Thursday.\n\nRAINFALL:  The potential tropical cyclone will produce total rain\naccumulation of 3 to 6 inches with maximum amounts of 10 inches\nacross the northern Leeward Islands, British and U.S. Virgin\nIslands and Puerto Rico. Rainfall accumulations of 2 to 4 inches\npossible across the Windward Islands.
