Did you know that President Trump recently appeared on Telemundo and stated he would sign an executive order on immigration within the next month which will include a \u201croad to (American) citizenship\u201d for recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Trump made the statement while being interviewed with Telemundo anchor Jose Diaz-Balart. Trump explained further, \u201c..what I\u2019m going to do is that they\u2019re going to be part of a much bigger bill on immigration. It\u2019s going to be a very big bill, a very good bill, and a merit-based bill and it will include DACA, and I think people are going to be very happy. But one one of the aspects of the bill is going to be DACA. We\u2019re going to have a road to citizenship.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Several days after President Trump\u2019s statement on Telemundo related to DACA, Whitehouse staff attempted to clarify Trump\u2019s statement, saying Trump was speaking of \u201ctwo different issues.\u201d That the \u201cPresident is planning an executive order that would revamp the immigration system to add more \u201cmerit-based\u201d conditions for those coming to the United States\u201d, said spokesman Judd Deere. Further, Deere went on to explain that President Trump is \u201cwilling to work with Congress on a negotiated legislative solution to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), one that could include citizenship.\u201d That was similar to what Trump supported in 2018 when the Republican-controlled House tried to pass two Amnesty bills that were shot down by Democrats.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Multiple sources have reported that Trump\u2019s Democrat son-in-law, Jared Kushner is the author of many of the Trump policies regarding changes in U.S. Immigration Laws.
