{"id":46489,"date":"2020-04-21T12:14:55","date_gmt":"2020-04-21T16:14:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/?p=46489"},"modified":"2020-04-21T12:15:10","modified_gmt":"2020-04-21T16:15:10","slug":"lee-county-parks-will-reopen-some-wednesday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/2020\/04\/lee-county-parks-will-reopen-some-wednesday\/","title":{"rendered":"Lee County parks will reopen   some Wednesday"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Commissioners voted to reopen parks in Lee County Tuesday morning.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"217\" height=\"217\" src=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Lee-County-Parks-and-Rec-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-46491\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Lee-County-Parks-and-Rec-1.jpg 217w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Lee-County-Parks-and-Rec-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Lee-County-Parks-and-Rec-1-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 217px) 100vw, 217px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Most county services and recreation areas will reopen tomorrow morning, Wednesday, April 22.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>County manager Roger Desjarlais said &#8220;the time is right&#8221; for hiking trails and all parks except Lakes Park to reopen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the Lee County Parks and Recreation sites with trails that are reopening:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Caloosahatchee Regional Park (north side only)<\/li><li>Hickey Creek Mitigation Park<\/li><li>JY Linear Park<\/li><li>Lehigh Acres Trailhead Park<\/li><li>Nalle Grade Park<\/li><li>Pineland Monument Park<\/li><li>Pinewood Trails Park<\/li><li>Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve (excluding the interpretive center)<\/li><li>Telegraph Creek Paddlecraft Launch<\/li><li>Tropical Point Park<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the Lee County Parks and Recreation Conservation 20\/20 preserve trails that are reopening:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Alva Scrub Preserve<\/li><li>Bob Janes Preserve<\/li><li>Buckingham Trails Preserve<\/li><li>Caloosahatchee Creeks Preserve East<\/li><li>Galt Preserve<\/li><li>Hickory Swamp Preserve<\/li><li>Pine Island Flatwoods Preserve<\/li><li>Pop Ash Creek Preserve<\/li><li>Powell Creek Preserve<\/li><li>Prairie Pines Preserve<\/li><li>Six Mile Cypress Preserve North<\/li><li>Telegraph Creek Preserve<\/li><li>Wild Turkey Strand Preserve<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Lee County beaches will remain closed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those who go to these parks must practice social distancing by staying six feet apart from others.
