It announced\nWednesday that it&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/03\/11\/march-madness-2020-will-be-played-without-fans-because-of-coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">would play the tournament without any fans<\/a>&nbsp;after Ohio\nand Washington \u2014 states that were set to host first and second-round games \u2014\nhad announced a ban of large gatherings. Since then, the NBA, NHL, MLB and MLS\nall suspended their seasons and every conference basketball tournament was\ncanceled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prominent voices like TNT analyst Charles Barkley and ESPN\nanalyst Jay Bilas called for the tournament to be postponed Thursday morning,\nciting the risk for the players even without fans in the buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Duke was the first university to say it would not play in\nthe NCAA tournament if one was held, suspending all athletic activities\nindefinitely.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>March Madness 2020 has been hit with the ultimate upset.
