Let me start off by\nsaying this: We, as Americans, have the single highest quality of healthcare in\nthe world. Issues like this highlight how crucial it is that we work to develop\nfree market solutions that allow our great healthcare to be easily accessed and\naffordable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the past several\nweeks, I have remained in constant contact with several colleagues from across\nthe globe, monitoring the situation from all angles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here is the good news:\nDespite some media reports, your overall chance of contracting the virus is\ncurrently incredibly low. Secondly, due to our high health standards, the\nsurvival rate of those who do contract the virus is expected to remain very\nhigh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tonight, President Trump\ntook the difficult, but necessary step to temporarily expand the US travel\nrestrictions initially implemented last month. I fully support the decision and\ncommend both him and Vice President Pence on their swift and decisive action on\nthe issue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To be clear, this is not\nan economic crisis. This is simply a time in which caution and care should be\ntaken on all fronts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our country has overcome\ngreat challenges in the past, and this will be no different. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My medical advice is\nvery simple and in no way extreme. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Take\nextra care in maintaining the highest level of hygiene possible. (Wash your\nhands as often as you can.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. When\nsoap and water are not readily available, utilize an alcohol-based hand\nsanitizer for frequent cleaning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. Maintain\nappropriate social distance when in public gatherings. (Recommended 4\nFeet.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n 4. Avoid\ntouching your eyes, nose, or mouth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 5.
