The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools is pleased to\nannounce the 33rd Annual Golden Apple Teacher Recognition Program Finalists.\nThe Foundation\u2019s Golden Apple Selection Committee, made up of community and\nbusiness leaders, were charged with the arduous task of reviewing and ranking\napplications to select thirty – one finalists. Finalists will be recognized on\nThursday, January 23, 2020 at The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finalists are personally interviewed and observed in their\nclassrooms by the Golden Apple selection committee, and six teachers are\nselected as the Golden Apple Award Recipients. The Recipients are honored at\nthe Golden Apple Teacher Recognition Banquet, a black-tie affair being held at\nHyatt<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Golden Apple Teacher Recognition ProgramTM was the\nfirst major project founded and developed by The Foundation for Lee County\nPublic Schools. Since its inception thirty-three years ago, as a way to enhance\npublic education by recognizing and rewarding excellence in teaching, the\nFoundation has awarded 183 educators with the prestigious Golden Apple Teacher\nAward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
