(CALEA\u00ae), was created in 1979 as a credentialing authority\nthrough the joint efforts of law enforcement\u2019s major executive associations.\nThe CALEA Accreditation program seals are reserved for use by those public\nsafety agencies that have demonstrated compliance with CALEA Standards and have\nbeen awarded CALEA Accreditation by the Commission.&nbsp; Receiving national\naccreditation confirms our agency\u2019s commitment to meeting the highest standards\nof law enforcement excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, assessors from the Commission on Accreditation\nfor Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) conducted both remote and on-site\ninspections of our organization to ensure compliance with CALEA\nstandards.&nbsp; Once the inspection was complete, the assessors submitted\ntheir report to CALEA for final review and consideration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On November 16, 2019, members of our team appeared before a\ncommittee in Covington, Kentucky for final review of the report.&nbsp; After a\nquestion and answer session, the committee recommended a vote for\nre-accreditation to the full commission that took place later that day.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are proud to announce the Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office\nwas, once again, awarded national re-accreditation by CALEA.&nbsp;\nAccreditation is a significant accomplishment.&nbsp; It requires diligence,\ncommitment and constant attention to detail.&nbsp; It is a result of every\nmember of our team working collectively to provide the best possible service to\nour community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc.
