Rick Scott signed the \u201cSunshine Protection Act\u201d in March of 2017, but Congress must amend federal law before it can go into effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scott said he supported the move because it would help the state&#8217;s tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the rest of the eastern United States would set their clocks back in the fall, Florida wouldn&#8217;t, leaving it with more sunshine in the evening during the winter.
