A Florida woman who celebrated her 107th birthday credits\ndrinking Coca-Cola every day for her longevity, according to a report from Fox\n13 in Tampa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frances Brassey got cake and a party at her assisted living\nfacility in Hillsborough County on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 \u201cHappy 107th Birthday\nFrances! We are blessed and honored to have been able to share this lifetime\nachievement in our community with you,\u201d reads a post on The Legacy of Highwoods\nPreserve Facebook page on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brassey was born in Montana on October 4, 1912, according to\nFox 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

William Howard Taft was president, but about to lose\nre-election to Woodrow Wilson. The Boston Red Sox were about to win the World\nSeries, beating the New York Giants. Brassey\u2019s birth came in the same year as\nartist Jackson Pollock, who died in 1956, former First Ladies Pat Nixon, who\ndied in 1993, and Lady Bird Johnson, who died in 2007, singer Perry Como, who\ndied in 2001, musician Woody Guthrie, who died in 1967, TV host Art Linkletter,\nwho died in 2010, comedian Minnie Pearl, who died in 1996 and TV chef Julia\nChild, who died in 2004.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fox 13 reports the facility\u2019s lifestyle director Ashley\nGunter said Brassey has mementos of her lifetime of world travel in her room,\nbut retired to Florida in the 1980s and came to the facility in New Tampa when\nshe was 103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gunter told Fox 13 that Brassey credits her longevity to\ndrinking Coca-Cola every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
