Here are the changes: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solid Waste All garbage, recycling and yard waste\ncollections in unincorporated Lee County, the City of Bonita Springs and the\nTown of Fort Myers Beach will take place one day after the regularly scheduled\ncollection day for the entire week beginning Sept. 2. This means that if the\nregular collection day is Monday, the collection truck will pick up that\nmaterial on Tuesday. Tuesday\u2019s regularly scheduled pickups will occur on\nWednesday and so on, the rest of the week through Saturday, Sept. 7. Regular\ncollection schedules resume on Monday, Sept. 9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lee County Solid Waste facilities and offices are closed\nMonday, Sept. 2, in observance of the holiday. This includes the operation at\nthe Household Chemical Waste Collection Facility, 6441 Topaz Court, and the\nResource Recovery Facility on Buckingham Road. The Household Chemical Waste\nCollection Facility will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 7. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Solid Waste Department urges all residents to recycle\nthe paper, plastic, metal and glass from their holiday weekend activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parks &amp; Recreation Parks, pools and preserves remain\nopen on Monday, but offices and recreation centers are closed Monday and will\nreopen Tuesday, Sept. 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Libraries All library locations will be closed on Monday.\nEach branch will resume regular operating hours on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Animal\nServices Animal Services, 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers, will be closed for the\nholiday, but will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 3. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LeeTran LeeTran will not run bus, trolley or paratransit\nservice on the Labor Day holiday. Service resumes Tuesday, Sept. 3. Schedules\nand route information can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rideleetran.com\">www.rideleetran.com<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Utilities The customer service center will be closed Monday,\nSept. 2, in observance of Labor Day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: Lee County holds two public hearings on its budget\nbefore adoption, and they typically are the first and third Tuesdays in\nSeptember. This year, the county\u2019s first budget hearing is immediately\nfollowing Labor Day. It will be at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3. The second\npublic hearing on the 2019-2020 budget will be 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, and\nit is anticipated Lee County Commissioners will approve the budget following\nthat hearing.
