Visitors to Lee County public pools and parks later this\nmonth can enjoy free amenities as part of National Park & Recreation Month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Lee County Parks & Recreation, it takes\nplace on Saturday, July 27, and Sunday, July 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lee County Parks & Recreation sites offering free\nswimming or free parking include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 Regional parks: Lakes Park, Manatee Park, Hickey Creek\nMitigation Park, Caloosahatchee Regional Park, Six Mile Cypress Slough\nPreserve, Caloosahatchee Creeks Preserve;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 Beach sites: Bonita Beach Accesses No. 1 and No. 10, Bonita Beach Park, Bowditch Point, and Lynn Hall Memorial Park, Bunche Beach, Bowman\u2019s Beach and Turner Beach (north side only of Blind Pass);<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 Boat ramps: Punta Rassa, Matlacha, Alva, Davis, Pine\nIsland Commercial Marina and Imperial River;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 Pools: Lehigh Community Pool, North Fort Myers Community\nPool, Pine Island Community Pool and San Carlos Community Pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The City of\u00a0Cape Coral\u00a0is also participating, waiving fees at its five boat ramps, including the Yacht Club Boat Ramp, Horton Park, Rosen Park, Burnt Store Marina, and BMX Boat Ramp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other recreational sites with Lee County that are owned or maintained by other government entities are\u00a0not included\u00a0in the free swim\/free parking weekend. These include Barefoot Beach, beach access points managed by the Town of Fort Myers Beach, and City of Sanibel sites, including the south side of Blind Pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
