The driver kept going until he pulled over near the ramp and Daniels Parkway. As soon as the car hit the grass,\u00a0the witness said the whole car\u00a0was up\u00a0in flames.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Newton said the\u00a0driver removed his tools from the car but forgot to grab what he said was his last\u00a0$100 bill from the seat.\u00a0He tried to put out the flames with a cooler full of water, but the Volkswagen\u00a0was\u00a0destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This guy&#8217;s luck just got worse today,&#8221; Newton said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There&nbsp;were no reported injuries from the fire.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A car&nbsp;was&nbsp;spewing black smoke as it was engulfed in flames on Daniels Parkway near I-75 southbound in Fort Myers Sunday.
