Photo by Lisa Burgess from New River Fine Art, Fort Lauderdale <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>New York City born Artist Marcus Jansen\u2014best known as a\npioneer for his large-scale, expressionistic paintings of modern urban\nlandscapes\u2014was recently commissioned by Nicole Scherzinger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scherzinger, who is most notable as the lead singer of the\n\u201cPussycat Dolls.\u201d Jansen created a one of a kind painting for her private art\ncollection in L.A., titled, \u201cAUHEA\u2019 OE \/ WHERE ARE YOU NOW\u201d, 108&#215;72\u201d oils mixed\nmedia on canvas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scherzinger flew in from L.A on Memorial Day weekend to\nvisit Jansen\u2019s 7,500 sqft loft studio in Fort Myers in SW Florida to view the artist\u2019s\nwork in progress and to meet the former soldier turned internationally leading\npainter personally. The 9ft painting once completed will go to L.A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jansen was just recently hailed as \u201cone of the most important\nAmerican painters of his generation\u201d by no other than Art Historian and two-time\nDocumentary Kassel curator Manfred Schneckenburger Ph.D.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His film \u201cMarcus Jansen Examine and Report\u201d by Emmy Award Winning Filmmaker John Scoular will have it&#8217;s East Hampton\u2019s premiere at the East Hampton TV Festival July 22.2019 at Guild Hall.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New York City born Artist Marcus Jansen\u2014best known as a pioneer for his large-scale, expressionistic paintings of modern urban landscapes\u2014was recently commissioned by Nicole Scherzinger.
