{"id":43207,"date":"2019-05-30T15:35:00","date_gmt":"2019-05-30T19:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/?p=43207"},"modified":"2019-05-30T15:35:05","modified_gmt":"2019-05-30T19:35:05","slug":"fedex-to-deliver-7-days-a-week-to-satisfy-online-shoppers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/2019\/05\/fedex-to-deliver-7-days-a-week-to-satisfy-online-shoppers\/","title":{"rendered":"FedEx to deliver 7 days a week to satisfy online shoppers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>FedEx plans to deliver packages seven days a week starting next January as it tries to keep up with the continuing boom in online shopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company is also taking back nearly 2 million daily deliveries to homes that are currently handled by the post office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FedEx says shifting SmartPost packages back to its own network will give drivers more deliveries bunched closer together and increase their efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Memphis, Tennessee-based company announced the moves Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FedEx already runs seven days a week around Christmas.
