May 28, 2019 McArthur Blvd., Lehigh Acres Road Closure\/Detour<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lehigh Acres Municipal Service Improvement District (LA-MSID) is continuing work on their Annual In-house Culvert Replacement Projects. On May 28, there will be a road closure as crews work at Wagtail Canal (57-11-6) at McArthur Blvd. between Grant Blvd. a and Butler Ave. South. Located east of Bell Blvd. and North of Grant Blvd. in Lehigh Acres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A detour route will be posted and motorists are asked to proceed with caution. Work is expected to be completed by June 3, 2019, weather permitting. LA-MSID staff works with Lee County Department of Transportation and their Road Watch Program to notify the community of any road closures \u2013 residents are asked to watch for the LDOT announcements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LA-MSID continually inspects and prepares a Facility Review Manual that rates culverts and identifies the highest priorities for replacement\/maintenance. The agency replaces five culverts annually with a skilled, in-house crew as budgeted in normal operating funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lehigh Acres MISD is a multi-county, multifaceted Special District Agency. Our water management system is crucial in moving water to meet varying conditions and needs is essential to sustaining the local environment. However, it is our complex network of culvert-crossings, bridges, and roadways which work to make accessibility easier for residents within Lehigh Acres. Our stormwater treatment areas provide ideal recreation spots for residents and visitors alike, while providing necessary drainage and flood control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
