The next closest one is\nthree miles away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four gas pumps out of the ten were tampered with, meaning if\nyou pumped gas here, you had a 40% chance of getting skimmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the report from Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office, an\nemployee from Guardian Fueling Technologies went to follow up on a repair on\nMay 18 and discovered pumps two, four, nine and ten all had credit card\nskimmers inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 7-Eleven employee told Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office that\ncustomers were complaining May 16 or 17 that pump ten was malfunctioning.\nThat&#8217;s why the fueling company employee came out to check it out in the first\nplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no county-wide skimming ordinance in Lee County.\nOther places like Cape Coral have a law where every gas station must have a\nunique pump lock and key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lee County Commission is hoping to discuss putting a gas\npump skimming ordinance in place on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An economic crimes detective is taking over and\ninvestigating.
