Black History Month: “Escape to Falmouth” by Lena Joy Rose
\n2 p.m.\u00a0Saturday, Feb. 4
\nAuthor Lena Joy Rose discusses her novel, “Escape to Falmouth,” a
\nhistorical romance that follows a displaced Cherokee maiden and runaway
\nslave as they flee the Smoky Mountains by way of Georgia and Florida to
\nget to post-emancipation Jamaica. This powerful love story illustrates the
\nlesser known relationship between African-American and Native Americans
\nduring the era of slavery in the United States.<\/p>\n
Book Discussion: “Britt-Marie Was Here” by Fredrik Backman

\nBritt-Marie is a socially awkward, fussy busybody who is used to being
\norganized. But when she walks out on her cheating husband and takes on the
\ntask of leading the supremely untalented children’s soccer team to
\nvictory, she just might find a place she belongs. Registration is

Chess Anyone?

\nincluding identifying keyboard shortcuts, using the control panel,
