A nearby resident said she heard about five gunshots and saw three people running down the street toward State Road 82.<\/p>\n

A witness said the shooting took place on State Road 82 and not on Rue Labeau Circle. Someone in a car headed east on 82 fired at a car going the other direction.\u00a0The car that was the target wound up turning onto Rue Labeau, according to the witness.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not immediately clear how many people have been shot or whether a suspect has been identified.<\/p>\n

A shooting took place Tuesday on Rue LaBeau Circle near State Road 82, the Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n

About a dozen patrol cars are on scene and some residential streets are blocked off nearby as deputies investigate. A blue sedan is also in the middle of the crime scene.<\/p>\n
