{"id":41561,"date":"2016-11-03T14:52:12","date_gmt":"2016-11-03T18:52:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/?p=41561"},"modified":"2016-11-03T14:52:12","modified_gmt":"2016-11-03T18:52:12","slug":"fgua-projects-in-lehigh-acres","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/2016\/11\/fgua-projects-in-lehigh-acres\/","title":{"rendered":"FGUA Projects in Lehigh Acres"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2117\" title=\"FGUA_logo_090521\" src=\"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/FGUA_logo_090521.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"92\" \/>Current Capital Improvement Projects<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Water Meter Replacement Project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Siemens Industry, Inc., Building Technologies Division performed an in-depth \u00a0energy audit study of the Lehigh Acres plants, process equipment, HVAC, water, lighting and miscellaneous electrical systems. \u00a0The system was analyzed for potential improvements resulting in energy and cost savings as well as improved performance and relatability. \u00a0Their recommendations have been approved and are in the process of being implemented.<\/p>\n<p>As part of this project the FGUA will be replacing the Neptune T10 meters currently used to Neptune Analog with a combination analog with a transmitter for automatic meter read. \u00a0This will allow for reads to be collected via radio transmission in real time. \u00a0This project is scheduled to commence in January 2017 and be completed by June 2017. \u00a0Not only will this streamline to process of collecting water usage data, it will also provide customers with access to their real time usage data. More details to come.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Homestead Road Improvements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Lee County Department of Transportation is executing a project to widen Homestead Road in Lehigh Acres from two lanes to four lanes. As part of this project the FGUA is required to relocate both a 12\u201d water main and a<\/p>\n<p>12\u201d force main from under the proposed pavement location. \u00a0The FGUA will be relocating approximately 10,000<\/p>\n<p>linear feet of water main and 4,100 linear feet of 12\u201d force main. \u00a0The service lines will be relocated prior to the road project being constructed and will span from the Leeland Heights intersection to Sunrise Boulevard. \u00a0HDR Engineering Consultants Firm is contracted for project design with an engineer\u2019s estimate \u00a0at approximately<\/p>\n<p>$2.4M.<\/p>\n<p>This project will be put out for bid as an alternate to the Lee County DOT project bid.<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leeland Height Boulevard Improvements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To\u00a0 accommodate \u00a0a\u00a0 Florida \u00a0Department \u00a0of \u00a0Transportation \u00a0project \u00a0to \u00a0provide\u00a0 drainage \u00a0improvements\u00a0 along Leeland Heights Boulevard East from Georgia Road to Richmond Avenue North, the FGUA will be relocating sections of force main and water mains to mitigate conflict with the proposed drainage improvements for the entire project corridor. \u00a0The project spans approximately 6,000 linear feet and will consist of relocating sections of<\/p>\n<p>8\u201d AC water main and 16\u201d force main. \u00a0Johnson Engineering, Inc. provided project design with an engineer\u2019s cost<\/p>\n<p>estimate of $99,343.20. \u00a0An executed Work Authorization awarded to US Water\/Wade Trim, LLC for $85,275.00 to complete the work.<\/p>\n<p>This project is underway and currently at 50% completion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Current Capital Improvement Projects Water Meter Replacement Project Siemens Industry, Inc., Building Technologies Division performed an in-depth \u00a0energy audit study of the Lehigh Acres plants, process equipment, HVAC, water, lighting&hellip; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":2117,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[57,32],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/41561"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/8"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=41561"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/41561\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/2117"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=41561"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=41561"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=41561"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
