And previous purchasers are hesitant about the new event.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The event\u2019s Facebook page shows an October 30th date, but city leaders said Slide the City isn\u2019t even close. In fact, nothing has changed since the group was denied the Veterans Park site and was sent back to the drawing board.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are people still buying tickets to this thing,\u201d said City Manager Saeed Kazemi. \u201cIt\u2019s ridiculous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kazemi said he\u2019s surprised to see the date, let alone tickets being sold. No date has been approved for the use of Edison Bridge and won\u2019t without a permit.<\/p>\n<p>Slide the City did not return calls for comment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Slide the City, an event that left thousands of people high and dry, says it\u2019s coming back to Lee County.
