Call the host library, or Telephone Reference at (239) 479-INFO (4636), for more information about a specific program.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, Lee County\u00a0denied Slide the City the permit\u00a0to hold the event at Veterans Community Park in Lehigh Acres. That very night, event organizers switched gears back to Edison Bridge.<\/p>\n<p>Edison Bridge is state property, and these permits are not issued to &#8220;for-profit&#8221; companies.<\/p>\n<p>To get approval, Slide the City must have Fort Myers and Lee County sign off.<\/p>\n<p>They must also apply with the following:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 An MOT plan that shows temporary detours to be utilized by the public;<br \/>\n\u00b7 Traffic analysis;<br \/>\n\u00b7 Load rating information completed by hired structural engineer;<br \/>\n\u00b7 Water discharge plan for flow into city storm water;<br \/>\n\u00b7 Insurance plan to cover minimum of $5 million in total coverage;<br \/>\n\u00b7 Emergency services plan; and<br \/>\n\u00b7 Plan events to take place in daylight hours.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We need to make sure that what you&#8217;re putting on the bridge isn&#8217;t going to harm it,&#8221; said Zach Burch, FDOT.<\/p>\n<p>Meantime, customers still have nothing to show for their money.<\/p>\n<p>We contacted Slide the City and their parent company Sack Lunch Productions. They said they have listed a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/slidethecity.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">refund link<\/a>\u00a0for dissatisfied customers and that once you get a reply, you can expect a refund in five days.
