{"id":40680,"date":"2016-07-28T15:31:10","date_gmt":"2016-07-28T19:31:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/?p=40680"},"modified":"2016-07-28T15:31:10","modified_gmt":"2016-07-28T19:31:10","slug":"notice-of-hearing-to-impose-and-provide-for-collection-of-fire-protection-and-emergency-rescue-assessments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/2016\/07\/notice-of-hearing-to-impose-and-provide-for-collection-of-fire-protection-and-emergency-rescue-assessments\/","title":{"rendered":"NOTICE OF HEARING TO IMPOSE AND PROVIDE FOR COLLECTION OF FIRE PROTECTION AND EMERGENCY RESCUE ASSESSMENTS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Notice is hereby given that the\u00a0Board of Fire Commissioners of the Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District (the &#8220;District&#8221;) will conduct a public hearing to consider the imposition of fire protection and emergency rescue assessments\u00a0for the provision of Fire Protection and Emergency Rescue Services within the District\u00a0for the Fiscal Year beginning October\u00a01, 2016, and for future fiscal years until discontinued by the District.<\/p>\n<p>The hearing will be held at 5:00 p.m. on August 30, 2016, at the Microtel Inn &amp; Suites, Main Conference Room, 1320 Business Way, Lehigh Acres, Florida 33936, for the purpose of receiving public comment on the proposed assessments.\u00a0\u00a0All affected property owners have a right to appear at the hearing and to file written objections with the District within 20 days of this notice.\u00a0 If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the District with respect to any matter considered at the hearing, such person will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record is made, including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be made.\u00a0 In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons needing a special accommodation or an interpreter to participate in this proceeding should contact the District Fire Chief&#8217;s office at\u00a0(239) 303-5300, at least two days before the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The total annual fire protection assessment revenue to be collected within the District is estimated to be $12,337,998 for fiscal year October 1, 2016 \u2013 September 30, 2017.
