\"\"The proposal that seemed to pass last month\u2019s meeting of the Lehigh Acres Community Council was back on the agenda this month to see if they would like to send it to the Lee County Commissioners.<\/p>\n

According to Richard Anglickis 1st VP and President Mohammad Yasin of the Lehigh Acres Community Council their Bylaws were not followed during the vote last month.<\/p>\n

It was voted 6 to 5 Monday night needing 8 for 2\/3 vote to send a letter to the County Commissioners. So the backyard chicken\u2019s proposal was approved but now does not have the votes to go forward to the Commissioners.<\/p>\n

Chuck Edwards an opponent for backyard chickens said, \u201cyou reap what you sow.\u201d<\/p>\n

The proposed measure is dead according to Lee County Commissioner Frank Mann.<\/p>\n

According to Facebook comments that are blowing up all over the internet: Lily Burns said,\u00a0\u201cThis “council” acts like the Keystone Kops. Not only does incompetence reign, but it’s appearing like corruption is flagrant.\u201d And Sandra GM\u00a0said, \u201cSince the council members are not able to represent the public & follow their own decorum the public shouldn’t be obliged to seek their advice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chuck Edwards said, \u201cThis council a joke at this point and have no credibility in the community. There needs to be a new council formed that listens to the residents…. Not just Mr. Angilickis…..
