\"\"Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public\u2019s help identifying an unknown male who made off with more than $500 in stolen cigarettes from a\u00a0Lee\u00a0County\u00a0convenience store last week.<\/p>\n

Shortly before closing up shop for the night at the\u00a0Speedway, located at\u00a09281 Daniels Road, an unknown male walked into the store and requested 10 cartons of cigarettes \u2013 5 Marlboro Light Shorts and 5 Marlboro Red Shorts.\u00a0 Before paying for the items, which were placed in a plastic bag, he asked if he could borrow the key for the restroom, which was located outside the store.\u00a0 Within a minute of him exiting the building, a black four door sedan pulled up to the store\u2019s front door.\u00a0 When the suspect returned, he asked the clerk for two more cartons of cigarettes.\u00a0 As she turned to retrieve the cartons, the male picked up the bag of 10 cartons and quickly ran out the door, leaving in an unknown direction in the black vehicle.<\/p>\n

Surveillance cameras in the store captured images of both the suspect and his vehicle.\u00a0 He is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5\u20197\u201d.\u00a0 Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).\u00a0 All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.\u00a0 Tips may also be made online at\u00a0www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com<\/a>\u00a0or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
