An oncoming car struck the passenger side of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Marlene Mendoza was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She was not wearing a seatbelt.<\/p>\n<p>A second passenger MIgdilia Mendoza in the vehicle, as well as Minelbys Mendoza, had minor injuries. Both were wearing a seatbelt.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the other vehicle William Canada, 59, driving a Ford F150 also suffered minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Minelbys Mendoza has been cited for failure to stop.<\/p>\n<p>The crash occurred shortly after 9 a.m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 53-year-old Tampa woman was killed in a crash Sunday morning.
