Kids of all ages play pick-up games throughout the day.\u00a0Some of the games get pretty serious, but people say they’re generally not\u00a0deadly.<\/p>\n

“I played in the Rec league when I was in middle school, and now my little brother is doing it. We come out here all the time. I have cousins that come out here friends from high school everything,” said Lehigh parent Akilah Jackson. “To be honest, it does get in a way serious, but like I said, serious for someone to want to shoot anybody, like that’s ridiculous you’re not getting paid for it, it’s supposed to be fun.”<\/p>\n

Sunday\u00a0night two men were shot — one in the hand, and the other in the knee.<\/p>\n

According to one victim, shots were fired after a questionable foul.\u00a0The shooting happened between\u00a09 and 11 p.m\u00a0after the park was closed.<\/p>\n

Some parents like Marilyn Rivera say they are still worried.<\/p>\n

“You can talk about it if you didn’t mind something that they did, if they got pushed by mistake, it’s not not something to shoot someone over.”<\/p>\n

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. The victims have withdrawn their complaint to law enforcement.<\/p>\n
